Once the reigning champion of the universe, Frankie, has grown complacent over the centuries. Now she has the worst record among guardian angels. She loses more wards than any other guardian at a rate of 2 to 1. Lazy and selfish; she doesn’t care about the welfare of her wards. With an inflated ego, she is unaware that her performance has diminished so much that the director is ready to send her to Siberia.
In a “one last chance” opportunity, the director assigns Frankie to Dee Vanderhoff, a troubled, overweight teenage girl with a penchant for ignoring the rules. Frankie is tasked with keeping Dee alive until her scheduled exit interview while Dee tries to avoid a mysterious person or persons with a vendetta against her.
